Travis Couture-Lovelady is a sixth generation Kansan from Palco. He graduated from Palco High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fort Hays State University. After completion of his undergraduate studies he attended Texas Tech University School of Law and the Master of Liberal Studies program at Fort Hays State University. While attending Fort Hays State he also interned for Congressman Jerry Moran as part of his Master's program. Since graduating from Fort Hays State Couture-Lovelady has worked as a field director for Senator Pat Roberts, served as a legislative correspondent for Senator Sam Brownback in Washington, D.C.
