Survivors of retired railroad employees who died between 1964 and 2001 may be entitled to receive a $2,000 life insurance benefit. Claimants may call MetLife at 1-800-310-7770 to determine eligibility. MetLife is solely responsible for determining whether claimants meet the policy's eligibility requirements. Neither the State Treasurer's Office nor MetLife guarantee that the individuals listed on this website are entitled to receive the $2,000 life insurance benefit. Complaints concerning MetLife's handling of claims can be addressed to the Kansas Insurance Department, Consumer Assistance Division at (785)296-7829 or 420 SW 9th Street, Topeka, KS 66612-1678.
